THE BLOCK
The Block was my end of first year university project where my team was given a prompt word 'stolen' and we had to make a short film from scratch.
We decided to create an exorcism - a 'stolen soul'. a group of cousins Grandmoter just passed away and they are going to clear out her flat, but before they can do anything, one of the cousins Ben becomes posessed and the cousins have to work together to save him.
THE MAKING OF
As there were only 6 of us, it meant that our roles were very full on. I took on the roles as set designer, dresser and constructor. co-director, editor, script editor and music composer.
i wanted to create a lived in, our dated living room inspired by 'The Conjuring' and 'Stranger things' i was very keen to add great attention to detail so that the space didnt feel empty.
